Keep lemons somewhere cool, out of direct sunlight; in a bag in the fridge they stay juicy. Put a cut lemon cut side down in a container in the fridge and use it within a few days. Throw out lemons with any mold.

How to tell if lemons have gone bad

The times on this page are guideline values for food stored properly. Check how it looks, smells and feels: mold, slime, an off smell or mushy spots mean it goes in the trash. Eat raw meat and fish strictly within these times, and never past a "Use By" date.
