Room temperature 2 weeks

Store sweet potatoes somewhere cool, dark and dry, around 55 to 59 °F (13 to 15 °C), but not in the fridge: the cold leaves them hard in the center and spoils the flavor. Throw them out once soft, rotten or moldy patches appear.

How to tell if sweet potatoes have gone bad

The times on this page are guideline values for food stored properly. Check how it looks, smells and feels: mold, slime, an off smell or mushy spots mean it goes in the trash. Eat raw meat and fish strictly within these times, and never past a "Use By" date.
