Use Pantrist with Claude and MCP

Connect Pantrist to any Model Context Protocol client and let your AI assistant manage your pantry, shopping list, recipes and weekly plan.

What your assistant can do

  • Add, check and remove items on your shopping list
  • Track and update your pantry inventory and amounts
  • Search and pull up your saved recipes
  • Read and adjust your weekly meal plan

Connect

Pantrist runs as a remote MCP server. Point any MCP client at the endpoint above.

  1. Claude.ai: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name it Pantrist and paste https://mcp.pantrist.app/mcp, then click Connect.
  2. Claude Code (CLI): run claude mcp add pantrist --transport http https://mcp.pantrist.app/mcp.
  3. Claude Desktop: add { "type": "url", "url": "https://mcp.pantrist.app/mcp" } under mcpServers.pantrist in claude_desktop_config.json.
  4. Cursor: add Pantrist as a custom MCP server with the same endpoint URL.

On first use you'll sign in and authorize through Pantrist (OAuth 2.0). No API keys or tokens to copy.
